Britt Westbourne has always been one of General Hospital’s most underestimated characters. She has been positioned, at various points in her history, as a villain, a victim, a reluctant hero, and a tragic figure defined by her Huntington’s disease diagnosis and her complicated relationship with her father’s legacy. But the May 13th episode suggested that Britt is currently operating in a mode that none of these categories fully captures. She is playing everyone. And her real plan is something that nobody in Port Charles has begun to suspect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evidence begins with a single action: Britt pulled Lucas away from Cullum at the exact moment when Lucas was about to say something that could have been catastrophically revealing. She has spent years trying to escape that identity, but the May 13th episode suggested that she may have stopped running from it and started using it. The cold fusion project that has been mentioned in connection with Sidwell’s operation \u2014 the project that one Reddit user theorized might involve Faison’s preserved brain \u2014 is exactly the kind of legacy project that Britt would have unique insight into. If she knows what the project is actually designed to do, and if she has been quietly positioning herself to control it, then her current behavior makes perfect sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
