HE TRIES TO TAKE DESMOND FROM ISAIAH — THEN A NEW DNA TEST COMES BACK 0%?!

Curtis Ashford may be about to make the biggest mistake of his life on General Hospital, and the timing could not be more brutal. Just when Curtis appears ready to claim victory over Isaiah and establish himself as the unquestioned father in Desmond’s life, one tiny problem with the DNA evidence could destroy everything. Curtis believes the argument is finished. Isaiah, however, may be the one person who notices that something about that first paternity result simply does not add up.

The real explosion begins when Curtis pushes his advantage too far. With a DNA result apparently supporting his claim to Desmond, Curtis has every reason to believe he now has the upper hand. That confidence could quickly turn into arrogance if he starts deciding who deserves access to Desmond. And there is one man Curtis may especially want kept at a distance: Isaiah.

That would immediately create a dangerous confrontation. Isaiah is unlikely to quietly disappear simply because Curtis tells him the matter has been settled. The harder Curtis pushes him away, the more reason Isaiah has to examine exactly what Curtis is using as proof. Instead of fighting Curtis emotionally, Isaiah could start asking questions about the DNA test itself.

That is where one seemingly insignificant detail could change everything. Perhaps the collection date does not match the paperwork. Perhaps a sample number appears in the wrong place. Maybe there is a problem with the chain of custody, or someone realizes the original sample passed through hands that should never have had access to it. Whatever the discrepancy is, Isaiah would not need to prove the first test was deliberately manipulated. He would only need enough evidence to demand another one.

Curtis would almost certainly hate that idea. From his perspective, another test would be unnecessary because he already has the answer he wants. In fact, this could become the perfect moment for GH to let Curtis become even more confident. He could remind Isaiah that Desmond is his son and make it painfully clear that Isaiah no longer gets a vote.

Then the second envelope arrives.

Unlike the original test, this one could be conducted under tightly controlled conditions. A fresh sample would be taken directly from Curtis. A fresh sample would be taken from Desmond. No old evidence. No questionable storage. No mysterious middleman. No room for anyone to argue about where the DNA came from.

Curtis opens the report expecting confirmation.

Instead, he sees the number that destroys everything.

Probability of paternity: 0.00%.

That is the moment fans waiting for Curtis to be knocked off his pedestal would get their payoff. There would be no clever argument Curtis could make and no authority he could invoke. Minutes earlier, he was prepared to tell Isaiah exactly where he belonged in Desmond’s life. Now Curtis would be staring at scientific evidence saying the biological connection he was relying on does not exist.

Isaiah would not even need to celebrate. In fact, the scene would be much stronger if he said almost nothing. Curtis reading the result again, refusing to believe it and slowly realizing what it means would deliver all the humiliation necessary. The man who thought he had won would suddenly have no idea what game he was actually playing.

But Curtis not being Desmond’s father would only be the first bombshell.

The far more dangerous question would be how the original test ever identified Curtis in the first place. Was there an innocent laboratory mistake? Were the samples switched? Did someone deliberately manipulate the result? Or does Desmond’s biological history contain another family connection capable of explaining why Curtis was pulled into this mystery?

That question could turn a paternity dispute into a much larger Ashford family scandal.

And Isaiah would suddenly become impossible to ignore.

If Curtis receives a definitive zero-percent result, Isaiah could make one demand that changes the entire storyline. He would not need another argument. He would not need to accuse Curtis of anything. He would simply look at the report, look at Desmond, and realize there is only one logical way to move forward.

Test his DNA next.

Imagine the episode ending with Isaiah rolling up his sleeve while Curtis watches from across the room, still holding the report that shattered his certainty. The nurse takes Isaiah’s sample. The vial is sealed. Curtis realizes that the man he just tried to push out of Desmond’s life could be the person who belongs there most.

Then GH cuts away before revealing the result.

Because if Curtis Ashford has a 0% probability of being Desmond’s father, Port Charles no longer has one DNA mystery.

It has two.

Who corrupted the first test — and what happens if Isaiah’s DNA comes back at 99.99%?

Curtis Ashford may be about to make the biggest mistake of his life on General Hospital, and the timing could not be more brutal.
