General Hospital may be preparing to blow the Jack Brennan mystery wide open with one medical discovery that neither Drew nor Ava could have anticipated. The biggest question may no longer be why Brennan ended up dead in the Metro Court pool. It may be what happened to him after Ava\u2019s sleeping pill took effect \u2014 and before his body appeared in the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GH has already established exactly what Ava did. Acting on Drew\u2019s instructions, she slipped the sleeping pill he gave her into Brennan\u2019s drink at the Metro Court Gardens. Ava kept Brennan talking long enough for him to finish it, and the drug began affecting him as he headed toward the elevator. Meanwhile, Drew had disabled the hotel security system and was searching Brennan\u2019s room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But there is a crucial hole in that timeline. Viewers saw Brennan become woozy, and later Charlotte and Danny discovered his body floating in the closed Metro Court pool. What GH did not clearly show was the final sequence that put Brennan in that water. That missing window could be the entire reason Tristan Roberts is about to become so important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Fall Preview contains an unusually specific clue about Tristan. The writers confirmed that his medical knowledge and his habit of being in the right place at the right time will become pivotal to the mystery surrounding Brennan\u2019s demise. That wording suggests Tristan may discover something investigators cannot learn from Brennan\u2019s wallet, Nina\u2019s threats or the other circumstantial evidence surrounding the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GH reinforced Tristan\u2019s medical role again on September 14. Anna asked for his help after admitting she was struggling with PTSD, and Tristan performed a brief examination that officially established a doctor-patient relationship between them. The show suddenly emphasizing Tristan as a physician just as Brennan\u2019s death mystery accelerates feels important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The explosive possibility is that Tristan eventually examines Brennan and discovers that the sleeping pill was not the only substance in his system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If toxicology reveals a second drug, everything Ava thinks she knows about that night collapses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ava knows what she put into Brennan\u2019s drink. Drew knows what he gave Ava. Neither of them expected Brennan to die. In fact, when Drew and Ava later found Brennan floating in the pool, Ava immediately panicked because the sleeping pill could connect his death back to her. They removed Brennan from the water, hid him in a laundry cart and ultimately buried him rather than report the death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But imagine Tristan discovering another substance that Ava never administered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suddenly Ava is no longer simply wondering whether her drug accidentally caused Brennan\u2019s death. She has to ask a far more frightening question: Who got to Brennan after she did?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That would also transform the Metro Court pool from an apparent death scene into a possible staging area. Brennan became impaired before reaching his room, but GH never gave viewers a complete visual explanation for how he ended up floating in the pool. A second substance could fill that missing piece and point toward another person moving through the blackout window created by Drew\u2019s virus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Brennan\u2019s body may contain more than chemical evidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charlotte lost her bracelet after she and Danny discovered Brennan. The bracelet was later shown caught on Brennan\u2019s clothing before Drew and Ava removed his body. If Brennan is eventually recovered, Tristan could be looking at a corpse carrying an extraordinary record of that night: drugs in the bloodstream, evidence from the pool, Charlotte\u2019s bracelet and potentially traces created when Drew and Ava transported and buried him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is why Drew\u2019s cover-up may eventually become his greatest mistake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drew can plant Brennan\u2019s wallet in Nina\u2019s car. He can exploit Nina\u2019s public threat against Brennan. And the WSB is already treating Nina seriously enough that Baines questioned her about Brennan\u2019s disappearance and warned her not to leave town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Drew cannot rewrite Brennan\u2019s toxicology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Tristan finds evidence of another drug, the case against Nina could begin falling apart while a completely different investigation begins. Investigators would have to reconstruct Brennan\u2019s final movements and determine who had access to him during the missing period between Ava\u2019s drink and Charlotte finding him in the pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that could leave Ava with a terrifying realization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She may have drugged Brennan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She may have helped Drew bury him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But she may not know who actually caused his death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GH has already confirmed that Tristan\u2019s medical expertise will matter to this mystery. The show has already left a hole in Brennan\u2019s final timeline. And Brennan\u2019s buried body still holds evidence that Drew and Ava never examined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Tristan eventually finds a second substance in Brennan\u2019s system, General Hospital could deliver the twist that changes the entire story:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
