Instead, it may become the very thing that proves somebody planted evidence in her car \u2014 and Ric Lansing is already standing close enough to see the crack Drew never planned for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The setup looked devastating. Agent Baines presented Brennan\u2019s wallet and revealed that it had been discovered underneath the seat of Nina\u2019s car. Nina immediately insisted she had nothing to do with Brennan\u2019s disappearance, but she had no explanation for how his property ended up inside her vehicle. Baines treated the discovery as enough to move fast, transferring a terrified Nina into WSB custody before Ric could stop him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is just one enormous problem: viewers already know how the wallet got there. Ava Jerome confronted Drew over Nina\u2019s arrest, and Drew eventually admitted that he had personally stashed Brennan\u2019s wallet in Nina\u2019s car. Drew called the move insurance, claiming he needed Nina positioned as the suspect so his and Ava\u2019s roles in Brennan\u2019s fate would remain hidden. But after Ava left, Drew revealed the revenge underneath his strategy. Nina had humiliated him before, and he wanted payback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now look at the wallet again. Brennan ended up in the water before Drew gained possession of his belongings. That has sparked an obvious question among viewers: what condition was Brennan\u2019s wallet in after everything that happened? Fans have specifically pointed out that a wallet exposed to water should show some evidence of that exposure, even after drying. If investigators actually examine it instead of simply accepting where Baines says it was found, its physical condition could become unexpectedly important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That does not mean the show has confirmed that the wallet is visibly wet, dry, damaged, or preserved in any particular way. It has not. But that uncertainty is exactly where Drew\u2019s frame job becomes vulnerable. If Brennan had the wallet during the events surrounding his fall into the water, forensic examination could potentially help establish where the wallet had been and when. Drew needed the object to point toward Nina. He may not have considered that the object itself could carry a history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ric is the perfect person to start asking those questions. Nina has already told him she was framed, and Ric knows she cannot identify the person responsible. Instead of proving Nina\u2019s innocence by guessing Drew\u2019s name, Ric only needs to challenge the evidence. Where was Brennan\u2019s wallet recovered? Who handled it? When did it enter Nina\u2019s vehicle? Does its condition fit the official timeline? One contradiction could transform the prosecution\u2019s strongest piece of evidence into evidence of a setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Drew has made another mistake that could become even more dangerous: he told Ava the truth. Ava knows exactly who put Brennan\u2019s wallet in Nina\u2019s car. Worse for Drew, she arrived at the police station just in time to watch Nina being dragged away by WSB agents. Ava therefore possesses something Ric desperately needs \u2014 knowledge that his client\u2019s insistence that she was framed is absolutely true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ava does not necessarily have to confess everything to save Nina. Admitting the entire Brennan cover-up could expose her own involvement, which gives her every reason to remain careful. But she could point Ric toward the wallet without explaining why. One anonymous warning, one carefully chosen question about the evidence, or one suggestion that Ric examine Brennan\u2019s belongings could be enough to send him down the right path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That possibility makes the wallet far more dangerous to Drew than he realizes. He thought he was placing Brennan\u2019s property inside Nina\u2019s car to manufacture a connection between them. But manufactured evidence has a timeline too. If Ric reconstructs that timeline and finds one detail that cannot be reconciled with Brennan\u2019s final movements, the question stops being whether Nina possessed the wallet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question becomes who put it there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And once Ric starts asking that, Ava may be the only person in Port Charles who already knows the answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drew wanted revenge. He wanted Nina trapped inside the WSB system while he moved on to his next target. His chilling promise that Nina\u2019s daughter was next made it clear that this was only the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Drew may have moved too quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because Brennan\u2019s wallet was supposed to prove Nina was guilty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
