And Valentin Cassadine could be the person who puts that weapon back in her hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brook Lynn\u2019s October 6 conversation with Valentin was loaded with history. With her marriage falling apart and Phoebe\u2019s future suddenly hanging in the balance, Brook Lynn admitted that everything happening to her might be karmic punishment for what she did to Valentin years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She knows exactly how deeply the Bailey lie hurt him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five years ago, Valentin believed Bailey Louise was his daughter. He bonded with the baby, embraced fatherhood and allowed himself to imagine an entire future with her. Then the truth ripped that future away. Bailey was actually Louise, the daughter of Maxie Jones and Peter August, and Brook Lynn had helped maintain the deception to protect the child from Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It remains one of Brook Lynn\u2019s biggest betrayals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it was never Brook Lynn\u2019s lie alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That distinction could suddenly become critical if her separation from Harrison Chase turns into a serious custody battle over Phoebe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chase may currently have plenty of reasons to question Brook Lynn\u2019s honesty. Their marriage has been damaged by secrets, broken trust and decisions Brook Lynn made without telling him. None of this means Chase would suddenly lose his rights to Phoebe. Her adoption has already been finalized, and Chase has a legitimate place in her life as her father. Brook Lynn\u2019s past mistakes would not simply disappear either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Valentin does not need to prove Chase is a bad father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He only needs to destroy the idea that Brook Lynn is uniquely dishonest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Chase tries to turn Bailey into evidence that Brook Lynn cannot be trusted, Valentin can reveal the complete version of what happened \u2014 including Chase\u2019s role in protecting that same deception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that could completely change the emotional balance of the custody fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is another complication waiting to make everything even messier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chase has been moving increasingly closer to Willow while his separation from Brook Lynn remains unresolved. If that connection becomes romantic before his marriage is completely finished, Brook Lynn could suddenly have two powerful arguments working in her favor: Chase\u2019s current behavior and his forgotten participation in the Bailey deception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
