Nadia Bjorlin will always be Chloe to Days of our Lives fans, all sharp edges and raw feeling, while Jacob Young has worn more than one soap skin. He was Lucky on General Hospital, Rick Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, and a familiar presence in daytime’s long memory. Now, the two long-time friends are sharing the screen in a very different setting. And this time, Young isn’t just acting, he’s steering the whole thing.

Jacob Young Sets the Date

Young took to Instagram to announce, “A Murder Between Friends arrives this January 2026, and I couldn’t be more excited for audiences to finally experience it. This project has been incredibly meaningful to me, not only as a producer and director, but also stepping in front of the camera after a long hiatus as an actor.”

He also explained that working with his friend, producer Mark Rozzano, “was a true labor of love from start to finish.” He praised Bjorlin with: “Working alongside my talented co-star and long-time friend Nadia Bjorlin of 25 years made the journey even more special; her passion, dedication, work ethic, and artistry elevate every moment. @nadiabjorlin 📷.”

The film is a classic whodunit in which six friends attempt a relaxing getaway at a European mansion. However, things go sideways when one of them ends up dead. Suspicion among the group gets rampant, including toward the mansion’s enigmatic owner, Francesca Carlyle.

The Soap World Reacts

Bjorlin and Young play the married couple at the center of the storm, Josh and Kat. Adding extra weight to the lineup is the legendary Joan Collins, stepping in as Carlyle, a journalist famous for her murder investigation series. Soap history and prime-time legacy share the same room, and nobody’s pretending that’s an accident.

Support rolled in quickly from familiar faces with GH’s Cameron Mathison (Drew) sharing a row of applause emojis. Young replied in kind with, “@cameronmathison Thanks, Cam! Wishing you and the family a beautiful holiday! ❤️.”

Fans followed suit. A viewer wrote, “I can’t wait to watch it, Jacob!” while another chimed in with, “Congrats and Merry Christmas to you and the fam!!!” More than a few zeroed in on the pairing, with one fan saying, “Love it, you and Nadia 🙌,” while someone else added, “Beautiful couple, congratulations on your show 😍.”

Many fans also asked the stars if they would ever return to their respective soaps, and while that’s probably a long way off, they have this new mystery to catch the beloved stars.
