Growing up in San Francisco, the 49ers were woven into his childhood, shaping his love for the game and the team’s storied legacy. That history fuels the intensity he brings as a fan today—an intensity fans instantly recognize as very “Sonny.”

Benard has been especially vocal about quarterback Brock Purdy, praising him as one of the league’s most underestimated players.
