What they got instead was a spark — and possibly the beginning of a brand-new obsession.

Buried among the throwback photos was one image fans can’t stop talking about: a kiss between Camryn Grimes and Hunter King, who once portrayed Summer Newman. The moment, originally captured years ago at a Daytime Emmy event, instantly reignited imaginations — and gave birth to a ship no one was prepared for.

Enter: “Summiah.”

Within hours, fan discussions exploded. Could Mariah and Summer — two women with complicated histories, sharp edges, and emotional depth — actually work as a couple? With Mariah’s relationship with Tessa now in the rearview mirror, many fans believe the timing feels… suspiciously perfect.

What’s fueling the speculation even more is the context. Camryn’s post didn’t feel random. It felt intentional. A reminder. A nudge. A quiet “remember this?” dropped right when the canvas is wide open for something new.

Of course, nothing has been confirmed. There’s no official storyline, no casting announcement, no on-screen reunion. But Y&R fans know better than to ignore signals — especially when a single image can reopen doors the show once never dared to touch.

Is this just nostalgia having fun?
Or is The Young and the Restless testing the waters for its next unexpected power pairing?

One thing is certain: fans are watching closely now.
