General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) is on the cusp of another massive lie and could claim that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is the father of her baby.
This isn’t the first time Portia has gotten pregnant and hasn’t exactly known who the father is, and it looks like lightning will strike twice for the good doctor.
After all, decades ago when she was expecting Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), she was in a very similar predicament.
Portia was married to Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) but was having issues and had a fling with Curtis.
When she ended up pregnant, she reconciled with Taggert and simply claimed he was the father of her baby so that she didn’t rock the boat with their reunion.
Curtis lost years of watching Trina grow up and parental milestones.
Despite the lie, which he found out about on the day of his wedding to Portia years later, the two managed to pick up the pieces of her deception and move on with their marriage.
Portia almost immediately hopped into bed with Isaiah Gannon (Swandi Wilson) the moment Curtis cut the cord on their romance recently; however, no one knows about this indiscretion, but the parties involved.
Plus, no one knows that Curtis and Portia have ended their romance (other than Isaiah), so it’s easy to see where this storyline could be heading.
During the October 8 episode, Curtis and Portia worked together to dupe Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
They were curious to see if Drew still had blackmailing evidence against Portia, and after a “test” encounter, it was clear that the congressman no longer had leverage against them.
After the whole thing, Curtis and Portia had a chat about the next steps in her office.
Curtis noted that after Drew’s shooting suspect was charged, they could officially let the world know they were no longer together, as there’s no real reason to keep them together.
With that said, a baby is definitely a good reason to reconcile, and Curtis could change his tune about Portia if he found out she was expecting.
He never got to experience prenatal appointments, touching Portia’s belly while Trina was kicking, watching his daughter take her first steps, first words … the list goes on and on.
Curtis will certainly want to experience every precious moment, and while Portia has had fun with Isaiah, she still yearns to hold onto the stable and predictable environment that Curtis offers.
Plus, Trina will be happy to know that her parents aren’t splitting up, and the young lady will be over the moon to know she’s no longer an only child!
Portia does love her family, and a new baby means a fresh chapter for all of them, too. Portia is a master manipulator, a side Isaiah has never seen.
It’s important to remember that Isaiah doesn’t know that Portia fudged up Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) medical records to suit her own interests; he likely doesn’t even know that she lied about Trina’s paternity back in the day, either.
As such, when Portia decides to tell Curtis that she’s pregnant, he won’t question if he’s the father, because he has no clue about her affair.
Portia will simply tell Isaiah she’s reuniting with Curtis because she’s expecting his baby.
Isaiah may question Portia on the fact that he could be the father, but she’ll fluff him off.
If Isaiah demands a paternity test, Portia may oblige, but she could easily mess with the results – she’s done this before.
General Hospital spoilers suggest fans are heading into yet another storyline where Portia is under the impression that a massive lie will fix a situation, when it’ll only dig her deeper into the drama.
