In other words, Britt may save the children not through heroics, but through manipulation. That creates a much darker and more layered redemption arc for her character.
It also perfectly fits the terrifying “24 hours” countdown theme surrounding the storyline.
At first, the countdown appeared connected to Britt finishing the cold fusion prototype. But now there may be a darker twist hiding underneath the surface. The real countdown may not belong to Britt at all. It may belong to Cullum. Every new spoiler makes him look more isolated, unstable, and expendable. Sidwell has likely already realized the operation cannot survive with Cullum spiraling out of control. Once a villain like Sidwell decides someone has become a problem, there is usually only one outcome.
And if Britt truly reveals the Marco Rios secret, Cullum may not even see the betrayal coming until Sidwell is already pointing a gun at him.
