General Hospital’s Curtis can’t stand people who tell lies, which is why he and Jordan got divorced. When he later married Portia, she withheld the fact that he could have been Trina’s father — and it turned out he was. He forgave her, and when she later altered Heather’s blood test results to keep her in prison, she surprisingly revealed that to him, and things seemed good for a while. But when Drew got the evidence of her crime and blackmailed her with it, she didn’t tell anyone. That poor decision started Portia on a slippery slope, where she seems to be slowly unraveling.

Portia’s House of Cards
Portia (Brook Kerr) felt that keeping Heather (Alley Mills) in prison would keep Trina (Tabyana Ali) safe. But a crime’s a crime, and Drew (Cameron Mathison) capitalized on that. Because she kept that situation under wraps, you could see her nerves grow increasingly frayed.
Every time Drew showed up, Portia seemed to jump out of her skin. She had a lot on her plate: worrying that her crime would land her in jail, worrying that her lie would push Curtis away, and worrying that her whole life would spiral out of control. It was clear that the gravity of her situation was weighing on her, influencing her decisions.
When Fear Fuels Bad Decisions
As Drew’s wrath started encompassing more people in town and his vendetta against The Ashfords grew, Portia’s worry intensified. So much so that she became paranoid, and when Curtis confided in his ex Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and got help from her, she misinterpreted that as them having an affair. Curtis tried to be rational with her, but his words fell on deaf ears.
Her solution? She slept with Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson). Regaining her senses, she told her colleague that it wouldn’t happen again, but then changed her mind when she concluded to herself that Curtis was cheating. Portia’s thinking is now flawed, and she’s going to keep making more mistakes as she slowly descends into madness. Hopefully, her family will rally around her and convince her to change the trajectory of her life before something horrible happens.
It’s even possible that her fear and paranoia drove her to the brink, and she ended up being the one who shot Drew.
