Gio learned many beautiful things about the Qs.

Gio’s angry era might finally be coming to an end on General Hospital. Monica’s funeral seems to have the violinist looking at the Quartermaines with fresh eyes.
Gio’s Grumpy Face
Gio (Giovanni Mazza) has been angrily stomping around for a while now. He had every right to be upset because he had been lied to for his entire life. He was mad at Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) for giving him up, at Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) for basically just being a jerk, and at Lois (Rena Sofer) for keeping everything a secret. The rest of the Qs were collateral damage.
He left the mansion and would barely speak to anyone in the family. Brook Lynn has been devastated by the whole situation and wants to fix things with her son, but Gio wouldn’t bend, until possibly now. The relationship he is forming with Emma (Braedyn Bruner) might have helped, but it was Monica’s (the late Leslie Charleson) funeral that has him seeing things differently.
Maybe The Qs Aren’t That Bad
The Quartermaines are a crazy family. They are constantly bickering, fighting, and trying to cheat or outdo each other. Who could blame Gio for wanting to get out of the line of fire?
The family also loves and protects each other above all else, as Gio is finally discovering. The stories told at the memorial illustrated that perfectly. Tracy (Jane Elliot) spoke about the dislike she and Monica once felt for each other, which turned into a beautiful sisterly bond. Jason (Steve Burton) regretted keeping his mother at arm’s length for so long. Even Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) wished she hadn’t kept her son Jake (ex-Hudson West) away from his grandmother. Gio took it all in. We even caught him glancing sweetly at Brook Lynn a few times.
Gio learned that the Qs have their faults, but the love is real, and staying away over anger is not serving any of them well. This may be the beginning of a beautiful relationship forming between the violinist and his mom, dad, and the rest of the family. Do you think it is time for Gio to let his anger go?
